Here is a man who carries a mask. But its mask does not resemble a mask! But then! What this masquerade! Is this an error? A voluntary error?

I conceived this sculpture around a confusion. The man carries on his head an intertwined couple. The busts of these two in love are stuck one to the other. They form a whole. They are happy.
The carrier, on the contrary, does not seem to be happy. It is overpowered under the weight of this mask. For marking the difference well, I varied the effects of matter. The texture of the carrier is smooth. That of in love is rough.
In addition, the bust is not same size. Not the same scale. I sought to avoid any ambiguity. The man carries the bust of two beings in love. But on the stud which supports it, I wrote: "Le porteur de masque" (the carrier of mask).
It is the first time that I write an inscription on a support. Generally my sculptures are built without support...
